About Us

Welcome to Bishops Waltham Montessori School where we aim to provide each and every child with a happy and stimulating first experience of school.

The environment has been specially prepared to cover all aspects of development - intellectual, social, physical, emotional and spiritual and offers each child the opportunity to flourish at their own pace with the support and guidance of trained, qualified Montessori staff.

At the heart of the Montessori Method are the Montessori materials that have been carefully designed to allow many teaching experiences and improve understanding, dexterity and skill each time they are used.

Bishops Waltham Montessori School is situated in a quiet location within close proximity of the town centre and has the benefit of a light, airy modern hall and an outside area in which to play and develop.

The Teachers

Miss Emma

Emma owns and manages bishops Waltham Montessori School, she has worked there since 2003 and became the owner and manager in 2005. Emma holds her Montessori International Diploma and holds a current First aid qualification; Emma regularly attends Hampshire county council training courses and holds her SEN and SEN plus as well as portage and THOMAS Training. Emma is currently in her third year at Winchester University studying for her Early Years Degree.

Miss Lorraine

Lorraine holds her Montessori qualification and is a qualified chef she teaches cookery to the children weekly. Lorraine is the schools named SENCO and holds many qualifications in Early Years through Hampshire County Council. Lorraine has been at the school since 2004.

Miss Danielle

Miss Danielle holds her Montessori International Diploma and is currently studying for her Early Years Degree; she regularly attends Hampshire County council Training courses. Danielle has worked at Bishops Waltham since 2009.

Miss Caroline

Miss Caroline holds her Montessori qualification and has regularly attended training with Hampshire County Council in which she holds current First aid, Health and safety, Music and movement. She has worked at Bishops Waltham since 2007.

Miss Mae

Miss Mae holds her Montessori International Diploma and is currently in her third year at University studying for her Early Years Degree. Mae attends Hampshire county council Training Regularly.
